A link in bio for VRChat creators

By NoizPublished 4 min read

The short answer

A VRChat creator's link in bio should show your worlds, avatars and groups as pictures rather than bare links, and send people where they can visit, join or buy. Put the thing you want opened first, keep your VRChat profile or group as an icon beside your other platforms, and add your setup and upcoming events if people ask about them.

A VRChat creator's audience is spread out: the VRChat bio, a Discord server, a group description, YouTube and TikTok clips. Each of those has room for a link or two. One link-in-bio page, pasted into all of them, means you update one place when a new world or avatar comes out.

Use the same short address everywhere, ideally your usual handle. It is easier to say in a stream and easier to type from a screenshot.

Show worlds and avatars as pictures

A list of links reading "World 1" and "Avatar 2" tells nobody anything. VRChat content is visual, so the page should be too: a name, a picture and a link for each world, avatar or group.

Noiz Premium has a VRChat widget for this, with three lists: avatars, groups and worlds. Each row is a name, a VRChat link and a screenshot, and a world can carry five screenshots so a place can be shown from more than one angle. You add the widget to a page below your card, and a visitor scrolls down from your links to reach it.

Make each entry worth a tap

  • Use the name as it appears in VRChat, so someone can find the world or group in-game after reading your page.
  • Say why it is worth opening in a few words: "Rainy rooftop café, good for small meetups" does more than a name alone.
  • Pick the screenshot that shows the place at its best, not the spawn room.
  • For avatars, say whether each one is public, for sale or a showcase only, and which platforms it supports, so nobody clicks through for something they cannot use.

If you sell avatars or assets

  • Link the store you sell on as a button near the top, labeled for what is in it ("Avatars and outfits").
  • Show your best sellers as pictures, each linking to its store page.
  • Say whether you take commissions, and how to ask. Close the link when you close commissions.

Noiz does not sell products or take payments itself, so the purchase always happens on your store. The page's job is to get people there already knowing what they want.

Your setup and your events

People ask what you play on. With Premium, a hardware widget lists your headset, trackers, base stations and the PC driving them as labeled rows, the same widget a PC build uses.

Meetups, world launches and streams can go in a calendar on the same page. Each visitor sees the date and time in their own time zone, which matters in a community spread across every continent.

What the free plan covers

  • Your VRChat profile or group as a link with the VRChat icon, beside Discord, Twitch, YouTube and the rest.
  • Unlimited links, sections and featured links.
  • Views and clicks on every link, counted on the server without cookies, so you can see which world people actually open.
  • A share button and a QR code, for anyone reading your link on a screen in VR.

The VRChat widget, the setup widget and the calendar live on pages below your card, and showing pages is part of Premium. Noiz's VR page shows how they fit together.

Questions

Does Noiz connect to my VRChat account?
No. Nothing is read from VRChat. You paste the links, type the names and upload your own screenshots, and there is no live status or friend list.
Can I link my VRChat group?
Yes. VRChat is one of the platforms with its own icon on Noiz, and both a user profile address and a group address work.
How many screenshots can a world have?
Up to five in the Noiz VRChat widget, so a world can be shown from more than one angle.
Where should I put my link-in-bio address?
Everywhere your audience finds you: your VRChat bio, your Discord profile, your group's description, and your YouTube and TikTok profiles.
