Child Safety Policy

1. Zero Tolerance

Noiz does not permit child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the sexual exploitation of minors, or the sexualisation of minors in any form. There is no warning, no strike system and no second chance. An account found to be uploading, hosting, linking to or soliciting such material is terminated, and the material is removed.

2. What This Covers

Nothing here is limited to photographs. The prohibition applies to every medium and every method of production:

• Photographs and video of real minors
• Photorealistic imagery generated by AI, including images produced from a real child’s likeness
• 3D renders, game assets and modifications
• Drawings, paintings, comics, manga and animation
• Written material describing the sexual abuse of minors
• Material that sexualises a real minor without being explicit — for example a photograph of a clothed child presented in a sexualised context, or edited to that effect
• Links, embeds, redirects, filenames, page titles and any other pointer to the above, whether the material itself is hosted here or elsewhere

Being fictional is not a defence here. Being drawn is not a defence here. Being generated by a model rather than a camera is not a defence here.

2.1 Where our rule and the criminal law differ

We would rather be exact than sound tougher than we can be. Under German law, § 184b StGB reaches a depiction that is wirklichkeitsnah — realistic. That covers photographs, photorealistic renders and photorealistic AI output, and those are criminal to produce, distribute or possess. Clearly stylised drawings generally fall outside that provision, and in some other jurisdictions they do not.

That distinction affects what a prosecutor is able to do. It affects nothing about what we do. Every category in the list above ends the same way on this platform: the content is removed and the account is terminated.

3. What We Do

When we identify material covered by section 2, or receive a credible report of it:

• We remove it. The content is taken down and the profile is made unreachable. We do this first, before any correspondence.
• We terminate the account. Permanently, and without refund of any Premium purchase. We will also terminate any further account we identify as belonging to the same person.
• We preserve the record. Account details, upload and access logs, IP addresses, payment references and correspondence are retained for law enforcement rather than deleted with the account. We follow police instructions on the handling of the material itself.
• We report it. See section 4.
• We cooperate fully with the resulting investigation, and we do not require a court order before acting on a valid request from a competent authority.

We do not operate automated scanning of uploads. Enforcement here is by report and by human review, and we say so plainly rather than imply a detection capability we do not have. Reports from visitors are therefore the fastest route to removal, which is why section 5 exists.

4. Reporting to Authorities

Noiz is operated from Germany. Material within reach of § 184b StGB is reported to the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA), the German Federal Criminal Police Office, together with the preserved records described in section 3. Where a report is more usefully routed internationally, we also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline, which accepts reports from providers outside the United States.

For material outside § 184b — stylised drawings, for example — we still remove it and still terminate the account. Whether a report is forwarded to police in that case depends on what it is, and we make that judgement in favour of reporting.

5. How to Report to Us

If you have seen material covered by this policy on Noiz, report it. You do not need to be the injured party, you do not need to be certain, and you do not need a lawyer.

Reports reach us at either of these, in English or German:

• The contact form, choosing “Report illegal content or abuse”
• Email to support@noiz.bio, our point of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act

Reports of this kind are treated as urgent and are moved ahead of every other queue.

5.1 You can also go straight to the authorities

You never need our permission or our involvement to report something, and going directly is often faster:

• internet-beschwerdestelle.de — the German hotline run by eco and FSM. It forwards reports to the BKA and, for content hosted abroad, to the relevant partner hotline in the INHOPE network.
• NCMEC CyberTipline — international, accepts reports from anywhere.
• Any German police station, or the online Wache of your Landeskriminalamt.

If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first — 112 in Germany and across the EU. Do not wait for a platform.

6. Related Prohibited Conduct

The same consequences in section 3 apply to conduct around this material, not only to the material itself:

• Grooming, or any attempt to establish contact with a minor for sexual purposes
• Soliciting, advertising, trading, selling or requesting material covered by section 2, including in coded or euphemistic terms
• Using a Noiz page as a directory, gateway or advertisement for such material hosted elsewhere
• Sextortion, or threatening to publish intimate imagery of a minor
• Content that normalises, promotes or advocates sexual interest in minors
• Identifying, tracking or targeting a specific minor for any of the above

7. Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years old to hold a Noiz account, and in some EU member states users aged 13 to 16 need the consent of a parent or guardian. Section 5 of the Terms of Service sets this out in full, and section 16 of the Privacy Policy describes what we do with the data if we discover an account belongs to someone below the minimum age: we terminate it and delete the data.

A profile is a public page. Minors who do use Noiz should be careful about publishing a school, a home area, a daily routine or anything else that lets a stranger find them offline.

8. If Images of You Are Online

If intimate images of you were taken when you were under 18 and they are online — here or anywhere — there are services built specifically for this, and you do not have to send the images to anyone to use them.

• Take It Down (NCMEC) — free and anonymous. It fingerprints the image on your own device; the image itself never leaves it. Participating platforms then use that fingerprint to find and remove copies.
• Hilfe-Telefon Sexueller Missbrauch — 0800 22 55 530. Free, anonymous and confidential, for those affected as well as family members and professionals. Counselling is available in several languages and in sign language.
• Nummer gegen Kummer — counselling for children and young people, and a separate line for parents.

To have such content removed from Noiz specifically, write to support@noiz.bio with the address of the page. Send the address, not the images. We will remove it without asking you to prove anything first.

9. Mistaken Reports and Contesting a Decision

Removal comes first and questions come second, which means a lawful page can occasionally be taken down in error — an ordinary family photograph, a medical or educational image, a piece of art misread out of context.

If that happens to you, the notice we send explains what was removed and on what ground, and you can contest it by replying to that message under the procedure in section 6a of the Terms of Service. We will look again and we will restore a page we removed in error.

A confirmed match is not reinstated, and no appeal changes that. A report we have already forwarded to the police is also not withdrawn on request.

Deliberately false reports are themselves a misuse of the Service and are handled under section 8 of the Terms. Being wrong in good faith is not — report it and let us check.
