What a musician's link in bio is for
Most people who tap the link in a musician's bio have just heard something: a clip on TikTok, a story on Instagram, a video on YouTube. The page's job is to turn that moment into a stream, a follow or a ticket before the feeling wears off. Everything on it should serve that, and anything that does not can go.
Put the release first, and make it playable
The newest release goes at the top, labeled with its name and what to do: "Stream Night Drive" rather than "New music". If your tool can embed a player, use it for this one link. A tap that starts the song on the page keeps the listener; a tap that opens another app gives them a reason to go back to scrolling.

Plan the page around release day
A release has a before, a day and an after, and your page should change with it. Doing that by hand means being awake at midnight. Scheduling does it for you.
- Weeks before: put your distributor's pre-save link at the top, set to come down at release time.
- Release day: the release link or player goes live at the minute the song does.
- After: the release stays on top until the next one, and the pre-save link is already gone.
Noiz links take a Show from time and a Hide after time, on the free plan. One thing Noiz does not have is its own pre-save: it does not connect to Spotify accounts, so the pre-save link comes from your distributor or a pre-save service and goes on your page like any other link. - Bookings: an email address or form, labeled for what it is ("Booking and press").

Your own music on the page
Some musicians want the page itself to sound like them. A Noiz page can play a background track, free, from an MP3, WAV or FLAC up to 50MB. What to leave out
- A button for every streaming service. Put the services in the icon row, and give the release one link or one player.
- Last year's tour. Dates that have passed make the page look unattended.
- Every single you have ever released. The streaming profile is the discography; your page is for what is new.
- Links you cannot explain in three words. If the label needs a sentence, the link probably does not belong.

- Can my link in bio play my music?

- Why doesn't the music start as soon as my page opens?
- Browsers block sound until a visitor has interacted with the page, and no site can override that. The track starts on the first tap, click or key press, or when the visitor clicks through an enter screen.
