Building and Publishing a Page

Before you start

Pages is Premium: a page only appears on your profile with Premium, and on a free account the builder sits behind a Premium banner. What follows is the builder as a Premium account sees it.

Creating a page

1. 1Go to Dashboard → Pages and press New
2. 2Pick what the page is for: a Blank page, or a starting point from About you, What you make, or What you play and build
3. 3Rename it by clicking the title. It holds 60 characters and saves when you press Enter or click away
4. 4Press Add widget, pick one, and fill it in. The editor saves as you type
5. 5Press Publish when it is ready

Nothing is published until you say so. A page you have not published is a draft: your own preview shows it marked Draft · only you, and visitors never see it.

The Page actions menu

• Move up and Move down: the order of your pages, which is also the order visitors scroll through
• Unpublish: back to a draft, kept as it is
• Duplicate: a copy of the page, always as a draft
• This page is about: Gaming, Music & media, Developer, Personal or Anything. It only changes which widgets the picker suggests first
• Delete page: asks first, and removes the page and everything on it for good

Adding widgets

Add widget opens a sheet with Search widgets at the top and the widgets grouped by what they are for. Searching always searches all of them. Page Widgets says what each one holds.

Each widget row in the editor says where it will sit on a desktop, and dragging a row up or down is how you arrange the page. How a Page Lays Itself Out is in the Pages article.

How much a page can hold

There is no limit on the number of pages. What is limited is the total content across all of them, and the editor tells you when you reach it: That's as much as fits.

A page's address

Each published page has its own address, noiz.bio/yourusername/ followed by a short version of its title, which opens your profile at that page. A second page with the same title gets -2 on the end. Renaming a page changes its address, and an address that no longer matches a page opens your profile instead.
